Doriane Malige, a painter born in 1997 in Nîmes, developed an instinctive relationship with drawing at a very early age, making it her first language. Guided by a singular artistic sensitivity, she transcended the challenges of her academic journey and graduated top of her class from her art school in Aix-en-Provence.
Her professional experience was shaped alongside artists and designers, from Montreal to the French Riviera, eventually leading her to join the architecture agency Caprini & Pellerin in Cannes. In 2024, following the completion of the mural for the Casino du Palm Beach, she decided to devote herself entirely to her artistic practice.
Her work, situated at the intersection of intimacy and perception, explores a sensitive visual language in which drawing becomes matter, memory, and speech. Her work will soon be presented in two exhibitions: on May 28 at MALA GALERIE in Nice, as well as at the Musée Mer Marine in Bordeaux, confirming the emergence of an artist with a singular voice on the contemporary scene.
Doriane responded to the invitation for this exhibition with genuine enthusiasm — an exhibition as singular in its conception as in its support. On this prison door, she unfolds a scene of striking intensity, where color offers no respite, invading every corner of the pictorial space with a force entirely her own.
